Filing a DMCA Takedown Notice

To file a DMCA takedown notice, you must provide the following information in writing:

  2. Location of the infringing material: Provide the specific URL or location where the allegedly infringing content appears on Dotakills
  3. Your contact information: Include your name, address, telephone number, and email address
  4. Good faith statement: State that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
  5. Accuracy statement: State that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner
  6. Signature: Include your physical or electronic signature

DMCA Notice Requirements

Your DMCA notice must include all of the following elements:

1. Copyright Owner Information

  • Full legal name of the copyright owner
  • Complete mailing address
  • Phone number and email address
  • Proof of copyright ownership

2. Infringing Content Details

  • Exact URL where the content appears
  • Description of the infringing material
  • Date and time when you first discovered the infringement
  • Screenshots or other evidence of the infringement

3. Legal Statements

  • Statement of good faith belief
  • Statement of accuracy under penalty of perjury
  • Statement of authorization to act on behalf of the copyright owner
  • Physical or electronic signature

DMCA Counter-Notification

If you believe that your content was removed in error, you may file a counter-notification. Your counter-notification must include:

  1. Identification of the material that was removed and its location before removal
  2. Statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed by mistake
  3. Your name, address, and telephone number
  4. Statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court in your district
  5. Your physical or electronic signature

Repeat Infringer Policy

Dotakills has a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances, users who are repeat infringers. We will terminate accounts that receive multiple valid DMCA notices.

If you believe a user is a repeat infringer, please include this information in your DMCA notice, and we will investigate accordingly.

False Claims Warning

Important: Making a false claim of copyright infringement is a serious matter. Under the DMCA, anyone who knowingly makes a false claim may be liable for damages, including costs and attorney's fees.

Before submitting a DMCA notice, please ensure that:

  • You are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf
  • The use of the material is not protected by fair use or other exceptions
  • You have a good faith belief that the use is not authorized
  • All information in your notice is accurate

Our Response Process

When we receive a valid DMCA notice, we will:

  • We use only short clips for educational purposes
  • We provide commentary and analysis of gameplay
  • We do not compete with the original broadcasts
  • We help promote the game and tournaments
  • We transform the content by organizing and categorizing it
